About Chris

Chris is the principal therapist at Bodywork & Fitness. He is a Massage Therapist, Corrective Exercise Specialist and Personal Trainer with an extensive background in Fitness, Massage, Kinesiology, Resistance Stretching, and is a former USN Special Operations fitness coordinator with many military rehabilitation and fitness tips and tricks to offer his clients. This unique aspect of his background gives him a well-rounded ability to perform structural integration, help you regain optimum fitness and flexibility or even do a relaxing Swedish massage and other styles also.

Chris has always had a love for and been involved in sports and conditioning. As a child he excelled at running and wrestling which continued to be a strength right through high school and his years of military service.

As an athlete himself Chris is acutely aware of the challenges that athletes and indeed all performers face with the repetitive nature of their work. His own need to seek treatment for various injuries while on active duty led him to become interested in the physical health of athletes and those in very active careers like military, law enforcement, etc. It quickly became apparent that when he was feeling physically at his best then he was able to practice and perform at his best. Now as a qualified health practitioner he has been able to combine his love of sports and his passion for health and well being.

Chris uses a combination of soft tissue therapy, trigger point, stretching, active release techniques, joint mobilizations and exercise prescription in his treatments. His goal is to not only treat your symptoms but correct the underlying cause of your condition.
